This is an Austin Healey 3000 Mk 1 in classic Blue over White. It is the rarest of the model which is known as a BN7. This model has two seats. The spare wheel is better located on the two-seater than the two-plus-two (behind seats on two-seater) which means you have reasonable luggage space (it can also be fitted with a luggage rack if needed). It is a manual 4 speed with overdrive on 3rd and 4th and will comfortably cruise at motorway speeds. Manufactured in 1960 it had a nut and bolt restoration and has been owned and maintained by me since then. I am a degree qualified automotive engineer and I personally completed about 90% of the restoration. Although exempt the car has an MOT every year. The car will keep up with modern traffic but steering is quite heavy as it has no power assistance. Although not fitted originally I have fitted the car with inertia seat belts for extra safety. The car is located in Storrington, West Sussex (conveniently about 30 mins from Goodwood) and is available to take to the many Goodwood motoring events every year including the Revival, Festival of Speed, Members Meeting and various Breakfast Clubs. A picnic hamper can also be provided for an additional charge. There are many places to stay locally, some of our personal favourites include Amberley Castle, Bailiffscourt Hotel and South Lodge Hotel. Ideal for a romantic weekend away, a motoring event or even just a classic road trip the car will not disappoint. It is a real head-turner and great fun to drive. You will get admiring glances, waves from other classic car drivers, courtesy from other car drivers and probably lots of questions about the car if you rent it. Delivery to your hotel or event can be arranged for an additional charge depending on location - just enter your delivery location when ordering. Please note that renters will need to arrange their own fully comprehensive insurance for the duration of the rental. This can normally be done by temporarily adding the vehicle to one of your own policies or via a company like Goodwood who are now offering temporary classic car insurance.
